Apollo was originally a professional Command and Conquer player for Team Dignitas, most notably winning the Command and Conquer 3 event at the 2007 World Cyber Games. In 2009, Apollo retired from professional Command and Conquer and traveled to Korea where he spent the summer playing poker and Brood War, where he achieved a peak of C- on iCCup as Terran.
Apollo switched over to Starcraft 2 shortly after its retail release, initially as Terran but eventually switching over to Zerg. Later he switched to Random to improve his casting and coaching.
