Viime threadi ei saannut yhtäkään vastausta, mutta mystisesti saatiin monen monta suomalaista pelaamaan turnauksessa, joten tässä on tuleva turnauksemme. Joinatkaa mielellä Bronze Practice kannuun Starcraftissä.

An Official Bronze Practice Tournament Show

This is not your normal tournament, and it will be operating under the Bronze Practice (The EU Chat Channel) ideals. Winning, and helping each other get better.
We have 16 players who will be playing in this tournament. These 16 players will be from Bronze-Gold league. The players will face each other in group stages, with an “everyone plays everyone” principle. The two best of each group will advance to the next rounds, and the winner of the tournament will be crowned winner of Part 1 of the SC2Apprentice tournament.
Here's when our tournament takes a twist from the norm: After this tournament, the players will be assigned a coach. The assigned coach/coachee pair will be having a minimum of 5 hours of training over the next two weeks. After two weeks, another tournament will be organized. The same players, the same groups, the same format. The players will have had two weeks of improving their play, and the tournament might very well have a different outcome.
Coachees (bronze/silver/gold): Send us an e-mail to bronzepractice@gmail.com telling us a bit about you - also tell us your name, character code and race. Sign up by sending the e-mail. Make the the e-mail subject "COACHEE - RACE".
Coaches (plat/diamond/masters): Send us an e-mail to bronzepractice@gmail.com telling us a bit about you - also tell us your name, character code and race. Sign up by sending the e-mail. Make the e-mail subject "COACH - Races you want to/can coach".
Point system:
Group stages, 1/4's: BO3
Semi-finals, finals: BO5
- Win a game: +1p
- Advance to next round: +1
Say we have a tournament with one group stage (20 people, 5x4 groups, 8 people advance to the brackets). Groups, 1/8's (BO3), 1/4's (BO3), semis (BO5), finals (BO5).
First tournament:
- Player A wins three of his games in the group stage (+3) and advances to the 1/8's (+1). He then wins one game (+1) and doesn't go through to the next round. He gets 5 points.
- Player B wins two of his games in the group stage (+2), advances to the 1/8's (+1). He then wins two games (+2), goes through to the 1/4's (+1), wins two games (+2), goes through to the semis (+1). He wins three games in the semis (+3) and goes through to the finals (+1), but doesn't win a single match in the finals. He gets 12 points.
Final tournament:
- Player A wins two of his games in the group stage (+2), advances to the 1/8's (+1). He then wins two games (+2), goes through to the next round (+1) and wins two games again (+2), goes through to the semis (+1), where he wins only one game (+1) and does not go through to the finals. He plays the bronze match (BO5), in which he wins two games (+2) but eventually loses. He gets 12 points.
- Player B wins the whole fricking tournament and I can't be arsed to walk you through how he did it. Say he gets 15 points.
Now take the differences: (tournament 2) - (tournament 1) = (points).
Player A: 12 - 5 = 7
Player B: 15 - 12 = 3
7 > 3
Player B won the tournament, and will get the glory for that, sure, but player A improved his score more than player B.
